Episode 5 recap
September 29, 2008 at 8:19 pm | In Uncategorized | 5 Comments
I know I’m just about SUPER late, but please excuse me. This would’ve been up by Saturday, but I had to go to New York (and seeing all those fashion boutiques did NOT help the guilt I was feeling for keeping you all up), and I’ve had work for just about every day since then. I’ll try to make sure this tardiness doesn’t happen again!
So the episode starts out with all the girls coming into the house from their last elimination panel, and they’re all staring in awe and commenting on Elina’s bikini shot (which I’ve to say, is extraordinarily stunning, and kind of gives off a Paulina vibe without the bitchiness, doesn’t it?). Hannah, Marjorie, and Analeigh are off in one room, where Analeigh is talking about what it felt like being in the bottom two, and then the lovely Hannah goes on to say that she’s wallowing and giving herself a pity party. Oh, that’s an amazing way to treat someone who comforted you when the majority of the girls were “critiquing” you and calling you a racist. Although I had hopes for Hannah pre-show, she’s really being an annoying brat on screen.
TYRA MAIL!
“Tomorrow your model dreams could end up in the gutter! Love, Tyra” It’s not like this has a morbid theme to it or anything.
The girls go to a bowling alley called the Lucky Strike to find Ms. Jay waiting for them to critique their runway walk through the bowling arena. So, let’s run down through each girl as respectively shown:
Isis: Slipped in the beginning! I actually had high hopes for her walk, since I saw it via YouTube pre-show, but jeez. She recovered very well and did the confident strut, to which Ms. Jay interviewed that she walked like she was on ice. “How convenient! IS- (pronounced like “ice”)-is!
Analeigh: Went to slow for Ms. Jay’s (as well as my) liking. She looked beautiful walking down it, but she looked solemn and like something was bothering her. She was a perfect contestant for the ever-returning “wind in the hair,” however.
Marjorie: Had a walk that was “shopping mall” rather than runway walk. She has the perfect figure for it, but she’s a bit short, isn’t she? I worry for her potential to make it far in the industry (if she carries on with it whether she wins or not) because of it.
Hannah: I wouldn’t call that a “walk.” It was like she was had an imaginary treadmill with her, and imaginary old woman poking her with a cane in the back, and some imaginary books on her head, and was trying to keep the posture. I haven’t seen someone walk so badly in such a long time. She shouldn’t have tried so hard.
McKey: didn’t show much at all, but she looked awesome in what she was wearing. Her walk was a little conventional, and she looked a little lost, though. She has a problem with controlling her shoulders, and staying in balance, I caught.
Lauren Brie: walks like a porn start. She swerves so blatantly and her chest was out of control. The face, as usual, was still pretty high-end.
Clark: showed very little, but she seemed to be fine, actually (although it only showed her torso). Her face was in balance.
Sheena: very confident walk. It was a tiny bit bouncy, but I still liked it.
Joslyn: It’s no secret that I have nothing but the utmost disdain for this girl. She swerved well with her torso, but I have no idea what the hell she was thinking lifting her arms up high like she was Cleopatra. She’s not elegant enough to pull that off, in my opinion. Ms. Jay commented she has what it takes, but her energy just needs to be pulled back a little bit.
Samantha: doesn’t know how to walk, simply put. Not as bad as Hannah’s, but she needs to look at herself in the mirror as she practices her walk someday. She looked cute, though, and it was amusing to see Ms. Jay slide a bowling ball between her legs.
Elina: this girl is gorgeous, no doubt about it. However, she looks like she is about to get you back for not calling her after the night before. She is stomping and is way too analytical (and she reminds me of C2’s April). As much as I love Elina for her face, I have to unfortunately (and sadly) say that she does not have the typical runway body. I hope that doesn’t come as a problem for her in this competition.
Mmkay, so the girls back home, and the girls are helping each other (and Hannah, especially) on how to look better with their walks. Cool points for being nice girls, eh? Well, then Clark and Lauren Brie are on their couch, and they’re complimenting McKey’s face and Elina’s face, which they emphasize is gorgeous, and they’d kill for her eyebrows. Stunning as they are, I’m not ready to end lives myself for them, haha. They then talk about Isis and how she’s not doing well, nor is going to do well anymore due to the fact that she still has her masculine-type body. Clark says that she thinks it’s about time for Isis to go home (which I agree with), and that modeling’s not for her (which I do not agree with). Although she’s a staple to the transgender community for being on the show and being part of the mainstream, she has absolutely been boring almost all of us fans. Her first picture was great, but the rest? Enough. We see Isis talking to Joslyn and McKey about how people would portray her and how no one really has the right to say what’s right and wrong with her decisions, and they’re just having a comforting time. Anyone notice that these girls are not very bitchy towards each other?! I’m actually liking that. Anyway, I loved when McKey said “You’re one of us, Isis.” It warmed my heart, and then commercials came. Cool points for her.
The girls get picked up and arrive to what looks like a big banking facility for their runway challenge. They’re representing Jeremy Scott (whose portfolio complimented him quite well, in my opinion), he comes out to say they’re doing a vintage bank scene, etc. Girls practice their walk before the time comes, and then they’re told they’re going to be in blindfolds as Mr. Jay and Ann Shoket (ugh) come out. She says that the winner will be having a photoshoot with two other girls that’s going to be put in Seventeen Magazine (those two words together are enough to make me hurl). So it comes time for the runway challenge, which had a cool design and a cool starting ceremony where a thief-like actor opens a vault for the girls to come out of. Rating the girls’ walks in their respective order.
Oh, but before I start, let me say that the clothes they were wearing were hideous to me. The only ones I liked were Hannah’s and Analeigh’s. But I guess some justice has been done, for Joslyn got a very tacky one to fit her.
Elina: worked it very well. She had the green blouse with her reddish hair and the black blindfold, and she looked like she came right out of an old movie. She looked quite graceful.
Analeigh: looked wonderful. She moved her hand and her hip in a very suave but quick motion, and when she turned and made her hand motion with that open mouth, I was about to scream “FIERCE!” But then I remembered that I wasn’t Tyra.
Samantha: I did not know what was up with this girl, but seriously, someone help her. She looked like she just got out of a hospital bed, where she hasn’t walked in ages, and she was trying to walk while looking like she’s been doing it every single day. It was really quite horrible. And at the end, when she lifted the dress (although not too much), was just face-palmed. She did look semi-graceful when she looked up, though. Could’ve been a good picture, although what she was wearing was ugly.
Sheena: WORKED IT! The outfit wasn’t too bad either.
Clark: looked a little crooked, but still managed. When she posed at the end, I almost saw Katarzyna, but with less high-fashion demeanor to her.
Lauren Brie: her outfit was CRAPPY! She walked well in it, though (or so, I thought). She moved and swerved like she was a robot, and I thought it was cool.
Marjorie: I think she did a pretty lousy job. Her dress looked constricting, though, but she didn’t keep in balance, and she looked rather nervous, to no surprise.
Joslyn: actually did very well. In my opinion, she was the second-best behind Sheena. She was soft in her walk, and wasn’t dramatic, like she said she wasn’t trying to be. Outfit sucked, though.
Hannah: I wanted to pause the show, go to Wal-Mart (avoiding the CoverGirl aisle so that I wouldn’t see Whitney’s face, of course), buy some aluminum foil, go back home, and then chew on it to get rid of the pain of watching Hannah go down that runway. I wouldn’t even try to demean the downright crappiness of it by trying to describe it (those of you who haven’t seen it MUST). And as if though I thought the walk wasn’t uber-horrendous enough, the pose at the end just made me feel SO bad for her. And unfortunately, she had the very best dress (in my view).
Isis: awesome walk, as expected. I wish she didn’t cross her legs so much, though.
McKey: she gives off this tough-girl tomboy thing, doesn’t she? I love it, and she brought it to her walk. If it was in another dress (should it be called that?) It was shower curtains with a pole on her shoulders, which actually looked quite cool. It probably wouldn’t have worked with another one, but she looked like a dominatrix and like a model. Very well-executed on her part.
Mmkay, runway is done. Long story short (I don’t feel like going through the critique), Hannah was eliminated. Choice well-made. We’re seeing SO much of that on this cycle, and it’s so incredibly rare! Of course, before she went, she had to mention that she was from Alaska yet one more time (a drink, on the house!). Joslyn picked Sheena and Isis to do the shoot with her, and although I can’t bring the picture for you, it was just her sitting on what looked like a white throne in a studio like a queen, while Sheena and Isis stood next to her on each side of the chair. Joslyn looked like crap, Isis looked rather feminine for once, and Sheena looked great, but what she was wearing made her looked wide.
We’re back at home, and TYRA MAIL! “This competition is deep! Some will rise above and some will go under. Love, Tyra.” This certainly wouldn’t have to do anything with water, right? Right?!
It’s the morning and Mr. Jay comes (not looking so great in that lifeguard wear, in my opinion), to tell the girls they’re shooting in the house, or at least, backyard in the pool. I knew it was water! I didn’t think anyone else would get that reference, I’m so proud of myself! Photo shoot highlights:
-Nigel Barker is the photographer. It’s been a bit, right? The black-and-white shots of last cycle (with the final four) is rather forgettable for the most part, because only Anya did it right.
-McKey did well. She interviewed that she only has two looks, and how she was doing weird twitching things “but it wasn’t very attractive.” She’s so weird that I can’t help but love her so much. She’s starting to override Marjorie as my favorite.
-Joslyn didn’t do so well (yay!). She seemed to look like she was drowning.
-Clark did the best she’s done in the cycle, and was “saying a lot with her eyes,” as Mr. Jay said. He also commented that he thought she was flirting with Nigel.
-Marjorie looked awesome, like a different species. She had a lot of body language with her, and an evil look throughout the photoshoot.
-Isis was worrying about the tape and the water, for she had three pairs of undergarments, and didn’t want a certain thing getting out, if you know what I mean. She struggled throughout the whole shoot, and her eyes were too asymmetrical.
-Analeigh did wonderfully, and was doing very elegant body motions. The bottom-two experience was a wake-up call for her, and she said “Yo, it’s an awesome feeling” at the end. I’m loving this girl’s personality right now.
-Sheena looked like an amazingly beautiful Asian woman in an old warrior movie. She looked amazing.
-Lauren Brie’s eyes looked amazing close-up, of course. She did very well.
-Elina struggled through the shoot, and Nigel was let down.
-Sam was very avant-garde with her body, and Mr. Jay was fond of what she did.
Back at home, TYRA MAIL! Of course, you’re meeting up with the judges, blah, blah, blah. And of course, Elina’s picture comes back up and the girls act like it’s one of those moving pictures on Harry Potter. “Yeah, Elina, give it up!” “Bye, Elinaaaaa!” She looks distressed, this girl. She goes talking to Sheena about her struggle and how she was feeling down (these girls REALLY confide in each other so much, I’m glad to see that they’re not being very bitchy, and the ones that are, are being sent home). Karma is really a driving force this cycle. We see Isis on the phone talking to her godfather, and cool points for him for being so supportive of her as she talks about how she’s struggling in the competition. I like Isis, I really, really do, but it’s her time.
Nothing interesting happened at panel besides the fact that Paulina found Marjorie’s awesome picture to be very scary and didn’t like the out-of-the-ordinary thing, and Jeremy Scott was thrashing on Sam’s performance on the challenge, seeming like he was trying to kill her with words. Tyra was commending him on how passionate he was for being so blunt, saying that models are representing the designer and it’s their reputation on the line (is it me or…or does this sound like the old, seasoned, professional Tyra? We need to see more of her again!).
Call-out order/elimination
-Clark. She really deserved it, her picture was absolutely amazing.
-Analeigh. From bottom two to top two! She did very well.
-Lauren Brie. Her pictures are my favorite of the cycle. The one she took this week is still in a tough match with Clark’s picture over my personal favorite of the shoot.
-Sheena. Yet another wonderful shot. And she’s such a great contestant. Just the perfect Asian to recover that tragic hurt to the Asian community by Gina.
-McKey
-Marjorie. This girl seems to be called much later than she should nowadays, anyone realize that?
-Joslyn. This girl seems to be called much EARLIER than she should be, anyone realize THAT?
-Elina. I was almost scared she would be on the bottom two this early.
-Samantha. Her picture was nice, but that runway walk…well-deserved bottom-two placement, in my opinion.
-Isis was eliminated. It was her time, and I won’t argue against it.
Now for the pictures in order of my favorite to least-favorite:

Clark. She improved SO much this week. This photo is phenomenal, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. The refelection is great, and so is the real expression.

Like I said, there’s a tough wrestle of whether this one is my favorite or not, with Clark’s. The swan thing with the hand is so symmetrical and perfect, and her eyes are deadly and evil. This is one of the best pictures in ANTM history, if you ask me. One of the very best photo shoots, too.

Sheena. Asian warrior is what I see. She looks unbelievable! Like she’s going to kill you if you step on her turf. Again, put it down as one of my favorites in ANTM history (three in one photo shoot is rare enough as it is).

Paulina said it looks like Quasimodo from Notre Dame. I agree, but it looks like a very editorial, edgy female Quasimodo, and that’s why I love it so much. She looks like a demon who resides in the water and has a temper. Perfect.

Analeigh. I never understood the whole “You’re an ice skater, so you should be making that perfect as a model!” Ice and ground are two different things, but she took that elegance and put it in this photograph, and she looks great. The hair could either take a bit of the attention from her eyes (as well as her legs), or adds to it, depending on your perspective (I’m the latter).

Very alien-esque. Nothing wrong with this at all.

McKey. To me, this is her least-best photograph, and it’s still very good. The hand could’ve looked more ferocious, and I’m not sure whether to like what looks like her nose is surfing the water, and not staying in one place. Looks odd, but sort of adds to it.

Elina. Disappointing, but not all THAT bad. Tyra gave her some good advice (she’s coming back, you guys!), and I wish she had the knowledge beforehand.

Joslyn. This isn’t a biased review (I’m not like that with pictures), so don’t worry. Almost all the girls did wonderfully in this shoot, and she was just one that wasn’t. Her body movement looks just like her bikini one, awkward and nothing near fashion. Her expression is pretty blank, and there’s nothing special about this shot.

Isis. Where’s that girl we saw the first episode? I honestly do not believe that it was a fluke. I just think all of the photo shoots were uncomfortable for her (one bikini, and one where she had to wear a bikini yet again?). A shame she won’t get a chance for improvement, but I wish she wasn’t so bland for what she was going through. It was her time to go, though.

Episode 5 Photos
September 27, 2008 at 12:43 am | In Uncategorized | 6 CommentsLet me just say, I really actually like this photo shoot. No hokey costumes, no ridiculous themes or premises, just simple, straightforward modeling and a final shot that looks like it could actually be used for an ad. Now, that having been said, let’s take a look at the photos. As always, in order of my favorite to least favorite.
FIERCE!

Clark somehow goes from boring, dead face last week to very fierce this week. I do think that she had one of the best hair/makeup combos, which drew attention towards the eyes, and did not distract from them. I’d be really interested to see what the rest of her film looked like, because in this one she really isn’t being very creative, and I’m curious as to whether all her shots were similar. Also, she seemed to have somewhat of an advantage here with editing, since hers was one of the only really close-ups, and the background color does really bring out her eye color. Coincidence?

I’m definitely not a fan of her dumb-blonde-ness, but this photo is fierce! I am loving how the colors work together, the animalistic stance, and the sharp look in her eye. Totally fab.

I can’t recall a single thing this girl has said or done since entering the house. She is living with the rest of them, isn’t she? She isn’t just showing up for photo shoots and panels? So either she gets the “no personality” card later on (a la Jenah c9), she has a rotten/boring personality that The Powers That Be Tyra don’t want us to see, or they’re saving all of her screen time for the second half of the cycle. Either way, I was impressed with this shot, I love the creativity with the arms, and I do actually see expression in her eyes.
NOT BAD!

McKey so far is winning my “most underrated contestant” award. She is fab, and I do like this photo. However, I’m also going to agree with the judges and say that I’d like it more if she had not had her arm in it like that. It does look awkward. The shape of her face, however, is quite divine.

Major props to Analeigh for actually using her body and being creative, unlike many of the girls. I do, however, think that her eyes could have been stronger in this one, since that was, after all, supposed to be the focus. Of course, I also think that she had a disadvantage with that hairdo, which to me seemed to draw the attention away from her eyes.
MEH.

Beautiful, but boring. She has lovely skin and lovely eyes, but is really doing nothing with them in this photo. The editing seems to be breaking her down rather early on in the cycle — are we in for another “losing your spark / edge / personality” elimination in the near future?

I know she was going for chic and high-fashioned, but it looks a bit too Quasimodo for my likings. The face itself, looks lovely, but the arms/shoulders are distracting and best, amputated at worst.

I can’t really think of anything specifically WRONG with this shot, but I’m just not drawn to it. I look right past it without caring, and I’m not really seeing much in the eyes. Yawn.

Why, oh why, can this girl do no wrong in Tyra’s eyes? I don’t get it. Her pose is awkward (not in a good way), her pose is slightly hoochie, and her eyes read quite blank. Plus, her voice drives me UP THE WALL. I need to find my remote so that I can mute her.
SCARY!

Call me crazy, but Isis’s photo reminded me of some possessed-looking china doll that you’d stick in the bottom of a drawer with its face down, under a pile of clothes just so you wouldn’t have to look at it. Yeah, it creeps me out that much. I’m not sure if its the asymmetry of the eyes, the strange arm growing out of the water, or the very unnatural shininess of her forehead and cheek, but just looking at this photo make me feel weirded out.
On a related note, was anyone else suspicious that they would have two bikini shots in a row, making the girls be progressively less clothed at each, during this particular cycle? Anyone else wonder how Isis could possibly NOT feel awkward/uncomfortable in that situation? Of course, then again, perhaps Isis should just be glad that they didn’t go for nude shots a la cycle 1 (click with caution), or guy/girl lingerie shots like cycle 1, or 4.

Episode 5 Predictions
September 21, 2008 at 6:18 pm | In Uncategorized | 9 CommentsWho will fall flat on the runway? Who will impress Ms. Jay? Who will smile with their eyes? And who will be eliminated next?
Other-cycle wannabes eliminated at this point (11th place): Amis c10, Victoria c9, Cassandra c8, Monique c7, Kari c6, Cassandra c5, Noelle c4, Kristi c3, Bethany c2
This seems to be the point where Tyra starts focusing less on girls’ photos and more on their personality (or apparent lack thereof). Amis didn’t take it seriously, Victoria was too prickly, Monique had a lack of drive, and Cassandra (c5) hated her makeover. This begs the question: will this week’s elimination be due to a poor shot, or due to a personality “flaw” that would make the girl unsuitable for the honor of being America’s Next Top Tyra Banks?
Quite likely -
Hannah seems to me to be the Victoria of this cycle — seemingly “different” from the other girls, perhaps a bit naive to the hard-knocks of the world and the biting, ripping, flesh-tearing competitiveness of a competition like this. They’re also similar in that they have huge potential, and only need guidance in order to fulfill that potential. Unfortunately, I doubt ANTM will be the place for them to receive that guiding hand, and since she has failed to deliver thus far, I could easily see dear, sweet Hannah on the chopping block this week.
Quite likely -
Though she survived the bottom two last week, Analeigh is not out of danger yet. Her bottom-two last week on top of her lower-than-average call-outs the previous weeks don’t bode well. For some reason, the judges just don’t seem impressed, and her makeover wasn’t really enough of a change to wow them last week. Hopefully her aforementioned similarities to Katarzyna will extend to include a fierce Kata-like strut… at this point that may be necessary in order for her to move on to the next episode.
Quite possibly -
I keep forgetting about Clark, and frankly, she bores me. She hasn’t given an impressive photo yet. Her makeover seems to make her even more girl-next-door, and thus far her personality is next to nothing. I have no idea how her runway walk looks, but with the photoshoot this week focusing on using your eyes, I can’t imagine her really standing out, as thus far her facial expressions have been less-than-impressive.
.
Quite possibly -
I can see where the judges may have had high hopes for Isis. After all, her homeless shots last cycle were phenomenal. And with the potential to create controversy, she was the perfect contestant to add immediate drama to the house and start the cycle off with a bang. At this point, however, she’s served her purpose, and hasn’t really delivered anything fantastic. They may hang on to her for awhile yet, to avoid completely ridiculous racial proportions (4 black girls eliminated in a row? Very un-Tyra-like.)
Unlikely -
Her personality flaws began emerging from below the surface this past episode. She has mommy-issues, she feels she has an image to keep up, and she’s afraid of looking silly. Will these flaws be the downfall of this seemingly flawless beauty? (Or, should I say, formerly flawless beauty? I really don’t know what they were thinking with that makeover. Yikes. It’s the Brittany c7 mop all over again.) Personally, I believe that her impeccable photos thus far will pull her through despite her “issues,” but, then again, I’ve been wrong before.
Unlikely -
I don’t see her as a major contender yet, but with a third-place call out last week, she’s definitely working her way up there. And if there’s anything the judges love, it’s a girl who comes in with no idea what to do whom they’re able to mold and shape and make into model material. I think that this last shot has proved that she has potential, and as long as she keeps up the upward progress, she’ll be safe for at least a few more eliminations.
.
Quite unlikely -
Ah, lovely, lovely Marjorie (definitely in my top three!) Based solely on the quality of her photos, I’d say she makes it to the top three. However, that mini-commercial at Walmart last week was atrocious. Her confidence needs a jump start — fast. Though endearing in person, the timidness and nervous demeanor makes me VERY nervous for the runway challenge elimination. Can she pull of a fierce strut in front of a whole crowd of people? For how long will gorgeous photos be enough to keep her in the running?
Quite unlikely -
My personal favorite… She has lovely photos, a sweet personality, a creative mind for poses… they’d be crazy to send McKey home at this point. However, this is ANTM, and crazier things have happened. We haven’t seen her walk yet, but I’m fairly confident that she’ll be able to pull it off. Somehow, I see her potential future elimination being quite Claire c10-esque… a bunch of bogus reasons for eliminating someone who deserves to make it much further. I do think she has a much better makeover than Claire did, which I feel will serve her well in the upcoming shoots.
Very unlikely -
At this point, Sheena is a “perfect” ANTM contestant. She gets brownie points from Tyra for being a racial minority, for having an upbeat, peppy personality, for being accepting of the people in the house, for quickly overcoming an obstacle in her path (looking too provocative in photos), and for displaying just the right amount of brown-nosing to the judges. So far her photos haven’t been great, but they haven’t been bad, either, which leaves just the perfect amount of wiggle room to suddenly improve mid-cycle and shoot up to a forerunner in the competition.
Very unlikely -
For me, Joslyn is the Dominique of this cycle. Allow me to explain. She’s the girl that I see as being FAR too old-looking to make it as a model. She’s the girl that has a personality so positive and upbeat that it scares me. She’s the girl that Tyra absolutely ADORES and I have no idea why. I’ve been completely unimpressed with her photos thus far, yet somehow she’s currently ranked fourth in average call-out orders! I have a feeling she will be the girl that will make it much farther and be given way more second chances than anyone else. Why? Oh, why?
Very unlikely -
This girl takes ridiculously good photos. She received the Anya c10 bleach-blonde treatment, which – strangely enough – seems to work for her. Though her personality at this point seems to be lacking any dimensions, with photos like these last two, I really don’t mind. She seems to be highly praised by the judges as well, so unless she somehow makes a complete fool of herself on the runway, I think she’ll be around for quite awhile yet.
.
Such Pretty Faces
September 19, 2008 at 3:36 pm | In Uncategorized | 12 CommentsSomebody asked to bring back Antm11’s model faces. I hope she doesn’t mind. (Sorry if you do). My version is slightly different though, there’s some non-entertaining ones that are mixed in because I have questions about them.
I’ve never been to a hair salon before or had any hair dye jobs or anything like that, so I find that the girls look really amusing when they’re getting stuff done.

Speaking of Lauren Brie, she takes the most gorgeous pictures, but is it me or is she kind of bizarre looking in person?

This picture is horrifying to me.
Elina is one of my favorites, but I pity the poor girl for her makeover. It looked better later, but seriously.

Some people have called her a string of names, including fug. They’re mistaken, they meant pug.

Does she not look like a pug here?
I often wonder if Joslyn is actually a mouth that decided to latch on to a host body. Her mouth is monstrous.

I think Hannah might be the same.

She brings us to this weeks model faces.

And that concludes the pretty faces of this week! But quick question about an actually pretty face, does anybody else think that this would’ve been an amazing shot instead of the one Analeigh actually got?

Episode 4 Recap
September 18, 2008 at 10:20 pm | In Uncategorized | 10 CommentsIt’s so early! Aren’t you proud of me?
Anyways, before I get to it, I’d like to thank everyone for your comments and Dorian for filling in with his awesome recap last week. Thanks!
Previously on Top Model, we had racist Alaskans and hot air balloons. Yadda yadda yadda.
This is the first time I’ve actually seen the opening credits, so sorry if I’m late but WTF at Tyra being shown for longer than the girls. Ugh. The girls look really good though. For the few seconds they’re shown.
The girls are in the bus, and are discussing the competition. Brittany discusses how she what she sees and what the judges see are completely different. I wholeheartedly agree. Analeigh last week and the week before, anyone? Brittany wants to be a high fashion model (she pronounces it muahdel, which irks me) but is frustrated because they just keep telling her that she’s “pretty”. Analeigh says that last week was a wakeup call, just like the week before. She wants to wake up. Aw, I want to give her a hug. By the way, it’s so ridiculously obvious that Brittany and Analeigh are going to be in the bottom two this week. I mean, even if it was the first time watching, I would be willing to bet every dollar I have that they’re going home. Way to go, editors!
The girls get home, and are greeted by TYRA! who is wearing a tiara/crown and is waving a wand. They have a pretty princess party, with tiaras, pizza, and princess gift bags for everybody. Tyra must’ve mistaken the girls for the toddlers she’s visiting for some future Tyra Banks Show episode. She talks about the makeover she had to go through in her career. Her words aren’t too important, or at least not enough for me to type them out. The moral of the story is that the girls are getting MAKEOVERS!!! WOOO!! She’s just about to tell Analeigh what her makeover is when Ms J, in his old hag from Snow White outfit comes in with apples. Ok, Ms J is a fabulous actor. Tyra takes the apple because she’s hungry. Isn’t she always? Anyways, she “passes out” and Prince Couture, or Mr Jay, comes out and gives her a kiss. Poor Mr Jay. With really really awful acting, she says that she can’t tell the girls their makeovers. Then he lifts her up and tells the girls that Tyra will be ok and carries her away. Okay, really, poor Mr Jay. He must’ve had to work out for quite awhile to prepare for this. Or else there’s wires holding her up. Anyways, the moral of that incredibly corny and awful acting scene is MAKEOVERS!!
Analeigh is pissed at the damn poisonous apple because she wanted to know what her makeover was. She calls her hair a mop, which makes me sad because she has the prettiest hair ever, and makes me feel like my hair is a really ugly mop compared to hers. The girls go to the salon, and the mirrors are covered and the girls don’t know what they’re getting until they’re done. Tyra is back in the “Tyra Vision” or whatever it was called last cycle as the “Good Fierce Witch”. Um…ok. Makeovers:
Marjorie is too blonde, so she gets brown hair of the same length.

Joslyn needs hair “down to here” with waves and texture.

Elina is afraid to look silly and hopes that she gets long dark hair.
Samantha looks too mallrat, so they cut off her hair to elevate her. She cries and Sutan jokes with her about her boyfriend not liking her anymore. I love Sutan. He gets cool points. She feels fierce and modely.

Hannah is mousy, so she gets her hair darkened, shortened, and gets bangs

Clark is too Southern Unedgy Blonde, so she gets really dark hair. Clark says that she’s still blonde on the inside. Sweetheart, trust me we know.

Lauren Brie jokes with Clark that she won’t be friends with her because she left the blonde club. Lauren Brie goes platinum blonde without much ado.

Sheena is surprised when they pull up the cart of coloring. She gets light highlights.

The hair stylists note that Analeigh has a lot of hair. She needs more pop, so she gets layers and blonde hair. Her reaction? “Oh, wow. It’s blonde”. Hee. Cool points. She notes that the brunette fits better with her reserved nature, so she has to be more confident as a blonde.

Elina is really scared. She does not want a drastic makeover. Ms J scares the crap out of her by confirming that her makeover is super drastic. J tells her that she should be really scared. She gets red, wavy thick, and luscious hair. While they are putting the first part of the weave in, she see’s it and is not happy. “Oh my god…” That is exactly what I said. When they hold it up, it looks kind of like an orange Ronald McDonald hair clipping. She cries about it because it’s so different. Seriously though, her hair looks really crazy right now. It is like a quasi-afro, but only on the sides. In short, it’s clown hair at this point. Poor girl. She looks pretty when she cries though.

McKey can take any look, so she get’s black short hair.

Isis’s hair needs to be longer.

Brittany is proud of her soft hair, and Christian Marc tells her it’s like his horse. HA! Oh my god I love Christian Marc. Cool points. She gets a wavy-ish weave. Ms J tells her she’s pretty looking, which pisses her off. She cries about it, and that pisses me off. Her voice bothers me.

My Opinions-
First of all, isn’t black supposed to be a flattering color? I like that it’s nice and simple this time (no toilet paper bikinis this year!), but the girls look too big for modelling here. Maybe it’s just me. And I hate that I had to say that, because model-skinny makes me sad.
Marjorie’s makeover ispretty good. Her abs are nice though.
Joslyn’s makeover is also kind of non-descript. Does she look like a black version of Kathy C6 to anybody here?
I LOVE Samantha’s makeover. I’m still not sold on her yet, but she looks a million times better here. She looks really worried in her picture though. Maybe it’s just her left eyebrow.
I really don’t like Hannah’s photo or her makeover, to be honest. She kind of got Nikeysha’s haircut. Her legs are really long though.
Clark’s picture is kind of weird too. I think its the legs. Clark has a very strong hairline, and I think the hair might be too dark. I would have preferred her hair to be a lighter shade of brown.
Lauren Brie’s makeover is pretty much unnoticeable to me. Her head looks photoshopped onto her body in her photo though.
Sheena is doing that banal concave back pose that is so high fashion, which is really used way too often. Her hair also makes her look like a dime-a-dozen asian that I can find anywhere, albeit a pretty one.
Analeigh’s makeover is okay. It really makes her eyes pop, but I would’ve preferred a darker color instead. She looks kind of chipmunky in her photo.
Elina’s makeover was really something. I don’t really know how I feel about it, but at first it definitely was awful when it was all frizzy and clownish. Once it toned down into more wavy loose curls, it was better. But I think it’d be better straightened. I liked her pre-makeover look more though.
McKey’s makeover is really nice, and her photo is good.
Isis’s hair was an improvement over that mess that we saw two weeks ago.
Brittany’s hair is nice too, but that’s about it. Her photo is pretty bad. It looks like she has quite a moustache and looks like she got done telling somebody off, hand motion included. You know what I’m talking about right? When girls do that thing where they shove out their index finger and then pull their hand back when they’re getting their ‘tude on?
Wow that took forever.
The girls go to WalMart. Wow, that’s so high fashion. Joslyn is excited. They meet Sutan and Nigel’s wife, Chrissy Barker. They do a makeup challenge like last cycle’s. Aw, I just say Katarzyna. I miss her, she was awesome. We see Whitney’s Covergirl picture, and I am reminded of how awful it was. Anyways, this time they have to put on their makeup and then do a quick commercial where they explain Covergirl’s shade selector thing. The catch is that there is no script. The winner gets their commercial on the covergirl website and a 1000 gift card for Walmart. Hannah is really peppy in hers, which is slightly obnoxious. Isis’s part was hilarious. “I’m warm beige. See how easy it is? *Cheesy smile*” Analeigh forgets what the name of the selector thing is called. As do I. Brittany fumbles over grammar. Marjorie hilariously says “Thank god…heh…for Walgreens”. Elina fumbles. Analeigh does an enthusiastic “Yo!” at the end of hers. So cute. In the end, Hannah wins. The person that needed the gift card, got the gift card. Hannah is super excited, and says that she gets to google herself! Ok see, that was kind of endearing.
Tyra Mail! Which one of you is suited to be ANTM? The girls astutely figure out that this means bathing suits. Analeigh acknowledges that she needs to step it up.
In an incredibly random bit of DRAMA!!, Brittany talks about how she loves her mom a lot. Elina says that she never loved her mom. She says that her mom doesn’t know how to be a mother, and has never let her show any kind of emotion. She says that that has caused her to be a guarded and controled. Brittany questions if her mom supports her financially, and Elina admits that she does. Brittany questions how someone can hate their mother, and calls Elina an evil bitch in a confession. Ok, WHAT?! That was really judgemental over something that she knows nothing about. Granted, Elina shouldn’t have said that to virtually strangers in the house and on national television, but I understand where she’s coming from. Feeding and sheltering a person isn’t equivilant to love, so I can understand Elina’s viewpoint. Brittany calls Elina out for using her mother, and Elina tries to back out of the conversation. She leaves, and Brittany calls her a psycho. God, please send Brittany home.
Marjorie and Isis help Analeigh with her posing and faces. Aw, thats sweet. Cool points for Marj and Isis. She feels pressure and admits that she has no confidence right now. Seriously, bottom two edit at its worst. They all get in the bus and go to a house by the beach. This part was really hilarious to me. They totally flipped out over the beach and were staring at it over the ledge when Mr Jay walks up and tries to get their attention. When they turn around to greet him, they’re just kind of like “oh…hi…”. It’s nice to see how much they care about him. They are doing a swimsuit shoot with Russel James, who shot Tyra’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition Cover and the music shoot from last cycle. Cool. They also have Susan Holmes, a supermodel who designed the swimsuits. Jay lets the girls know that he won’t help them on the shoot- only Russel and Susan are directing them. Analeigh adorably interviews “All of us were like, whatchu talkin bout?” I would totally make a .gif of it if I knew how. Does anyone want to be super amazing and make it for me? I would love you forever.
Photoshoot highlights:
Sheena did well, and had fun. She looked kind of Pocahontas-y
Joslyn got good remarks.
Susan says that Analeigh needs to work on her moves and be more comfortable.
McKey did well and looked really pretty.
Hannah came across as really schizy, and has crazy eyes. Ha.
Clark does well and looks delicate.
Brittany uses her limited brain cells too hard, and does not do well at all. Bottom two edit strikes again. Russel says it was painful to watch her.
Samantha looked stunning and did well.
Elina says that she’s over the hair and has grown accustom to it. She looks stunning and Russel and Susan love her, but doesn’t exactly have a typical model body.
Marjorie and Lauren Brie do well without much ado.
Isis is nervous about the swimsuit thing, and Russel doesn’t think she has a modelesque face.
Group hug! Aw.
Tyra Mail! Judging! Analeigh is scared, along with Brittany. Once again, way to go editors.
Prizes, Judges, etc. Guest judge is Susan Holmes.
First is Sheena, and they like her makeover. She looks “tropical”. Her photo is good. She smiled with her eyes.
Analeigh’s arms are really creepy in her photo and Susan thinks that she needs more model education. Her face looks stunning to me, but Tyra wanted her to look up as if she had been climbing the rock.
They like Clark’s makeover. They do notice that her mouth is thin ala Christina C4. She looks pissed in her photo.
Hannah gets stuck, and her photo was okay.
Lauren Brie’s photo was amazing, and she looked like Caridee in the water nymph shoot. She gave them a lot of diverse shots.
Brittany sucked. A lot.
McKey is very Linda Evangalista-esque, and looks really stunning in her photo.
Isis was uncomfortable, and has lazy sleepy eyes. Her photo is ok.
Marjorie looks really good in her photo, but kind of looks like a MUCH prettier Jael.
Samantha’s photo is amazing and her hair is amazing.
Elina’s picture is really stunning and Tyra thinks she’s racially ambiguous. Elina looks kind of Asian to me, so I guess Tyra’s right. They do warn her about the troubles of having tattoos though.
Joslyn’s pose is waay to close to the overused HEYY! pose.
The judges deliberate. They show closeups of the photos, and their eyes look so photoshopped. People don’t have eyes that shiny. Also, some people have full body shots and others like Elina have beauty shots. What?
The call out order is:
Elina
Lauren Brie
Samantha
McKey
Sheena
Joslyn
Marjorie (too low)
Clark (too high)
Isis
Hannah
Bottom two is Analeigh and Brittany. As if we didn’t guess that an hour ago. Analeigh is pretty when she cries. Brittany is such a pretty girl, but can’t take photos. Analeigh is criticized because the judges expect more because she ice skates. In the end, Tyra calls Analeigh. Bye, Brittany! She’s sad. Good times! I must admit though, I was scared to death that Analeigh was going to leave.
Personally I though Analeigh’s face was stunning in her shot. I don’t think she should’ve been bottom two.
Next week will have bowling and two eliminations, one of which is at a challenge.
Here’s the photos in no specific order-

Episode 4 Predictions
September 14, 2008 at 8:32 pm | In Uncategorized | 12 CommentsWho’s staying? Who’s going? Who’s crying over their hairdo? Here are my picks.
Very Likely -
It makes me a bit sad, since she was my pre-show favorite, and I did see a lot of potential, but frankly, she’s just not living up to that potential, AND she’s letting the drama in the house get at her emotionally — not a good sign for an aspiring ANTM. So unless they give her an edgy look and it transforms her attitude and modeling abilities (hey, it’s been done before!), she should definitely fear the bottom two.
Somewhat Likely –
I have this gut feeling that she’ll turn out to be this cycle’s Katarzyna — the girl that the fans love, and that takes good pictures, but that the judges just never seem to appreciate. And since we haven’t heard much from her yet anyways, I could see her getting the “no personality” cut. I do think that she’ll stick around at least a bit longer… at least long enough to prove herself to the fans.
Quite Possible -
She really is the “Marvita” of this cycle… the girl that EVERYONE was talking about pre-show, whom everyone either really loved or really hated even before the show began. Even now, we can see that the “I-used-to-be-a-man” hype has died down a bit, and as her time in the spotlight dims, so does her chances of making it much further. We can see her struggling on the photo shoots, and going from second-place to the bottom two is a huge indicator of the judges’ disinterest in her.
Quite Possible -
She hasn’t put forth a phenomenal picture yet, and she seems the type that would have a really hard time adjusting were Tyra to give her a short, boyish ‘do (which she’s very likely to do. Other things working against her — she already kissed Elina, and nothing more seems to have come of that storyline… by resolving that tension so early on in the cycle, hanging onto Clark for the drama factor no longer may be necessary.
Quite Possible -
She’s been quite middle-of-the-road thus far, and hasn’t really stood out much personality-wise, either, so a lot is going to depend on her makeover and how she pulls it off. If Tyra makes her chic and trendy, and she embraces her new look, she just might have a chance of making it far. As is, she’s boring and not likely to go much further.
.
.
Possibly -
After her stellar photograph last week, LB has a LOT to live up to, and who can really say if she’s up to the pressure? I’m very interested to see what they do with her makeover this week, because I really do think that it will either make or break her.
.
.
.
Unlikely -
If McKey were to be eliminated early, it would be a tragedy of utmost proportions. She has an interesting edit right now — lovely, lovely photos that the judges don’t really say much about, a quiet personality, and not a whole lot of screen time. From past cycles, I’d say this bodes fairly well for her, and that she’ll probably make it overseas. Now, if they start focusing on her during this next episode, we’ll know she’s doomed.
Unlikely -
Brittany has a few things going for her right now, the largest of which seems to be the fact that Tyra just eliminated two black girls in a row — very unusual in ANTM history, especially this early in a cycle. So the thought of the third gone being the remaining most promising black girl seems quite unlikely.
.
.
.
Unlikely -
Besides being one of the only black girls left, she has that certain something that the judges love — she looks completely different in photos than she does in real life. I think she’ll make it far, if her first photos and the judges’ reactions to them are any indicators.
.
.
.
Very Unlikely -
Elina has it all — she has fierce photos, great posing, an interesting personality, and she creates drama in the house. The judges have been raving about her and are unlikely to eliminate her anytime soon. Plus, she seems from pre-show pics to be pretty flexible with her look, so the makeover is unlikely to faze her at all, regardless of what they do.
.
.
Very Unlikley -
I see no reason at all why they would eliminate Marjorie at this point. Even if she bombs the next photo shoot, she’ll have the successes of her first two shoots to stand up under at least for awhile. I do worry about her nervousness/shyness getting in her way, but Tyra normally doesn’t start kicking out those girls until much later, so Marjorie should definitely be safe for now.
.
.
Very Unlikely -
The judges had the perfect opportunity to eliminate her this past week with her “no, my boobs are real!… Oh, nevermind… I lied, they’re not” stunt in panel. They could have very easily used this as an example of lack of class, lack of character, and overall un-Tyra-ness. But the fact that they let it slide without even putting her in the bottom two to shake her up a bit convinces me that they plan on keeping her around for quite awhile.

Episode 3 recap
September 14, 2008 at 7:57 pm | In Uncategorized | 14 Comments
I’m sorry for the tardiness of this, I’ve been rather busy with school and work. And it’s my first post too, what an impressive “employee” I am, no?
Anyway, the episode starts off with the girls going into their home after their previous elimination, where they encounter Marjorie’s first-call out picture from the previous week, which was on display as digital art for the week. Nikeysha rambles on even more on an interview saying that she’s going to shut up and stop making excuses. Yeah, okay.
TYRA MAIL! Why so early nowadays?
“Don’t get it twisted, will you bend over backwards to be on top? Love, Tyra” Ayy, Tyra, why must you try to sound like you’re a wise old man with these wannabe aphorisms? All you’ll do is make the girls guess, which is NEVER a good thing! After a little interview of Isis saying that she was to work on her facial expressions, the “green” bus comes to pick up the girls and take them to the destination of their lesson (or more commonly known as a “teach” in the show). And of course, Joslyn’s ever-so-lovely voice shrieking, “Bend over backwards to be top model!” It’s like hearing birds singing.
The girls go up to what looks like a parking lot in what looks like a hotel to encounter Benny Ninja (in some amazingly obnoxious green clothing, by the way, now watching ANTM is a visionary hazard), and I haven’t seen girls shrieking and screaming when going on top of a really industrial elevator since I heard some being stuck in them. Benny is sitting on top of a narrow box, which he turns around after telling the models that their challenge will have to do with posing, and a woman named Bree Robertson who is an Australian model and contortionist is contorted inside of the very narrow opening.
When asked who is the most flexible, the unanimous answer is (to no surprise), Sheena. After a little demonstration, all the girls are made to get inside of these tube-like curtains and pose inside of it (which in my view, restricts how amazing they would look instead of doing it naturally).
Hannah cannot contort, Nikeysha takes it as a joke although she has the perfect body for contortion, Elina looks wonderful, as always, Isis has problems with her face (and although I like Isis, am I the only one who notices that she dresses a little…classless)? They’re all they show for that. The girls get back home, and it’s TYRA MAIL!
“Did you learn your lesson? If so, you’ve got this one in the bag. Love, Tyra.” Read none other by of course, the lovely Joslyn with her lovely voice. “Did you learn your leahson (sounded like a Russian saying it, which was almost cute)? If soooooo, you’ve got this one in the baaag. Love Tyyyyraaa!” And all cheer. Seriously, why must they always get excited over it? You’ve seen it in every cycle, more than once per episode, and I don’t know if I’m the only one that’s a little weary of it. Lauren Brie amazes me with her intelligence with keeping track of the relevance to the day’s lesson. “First thing to come to mind to me is some…kind of posing, so we’ll have to see.” I actually quite like her look, but seriously? Anyway, the girls go to the pool where they’re just having fun, and decide to go to the smaller pool to play Truth or Dare. Sheena dances exotically, and after an interview, I noticed her tongue ring in her interview, and although I love this girl, I wish she were a bit less…they’re going to condemn you because you’re not the typical woman “young girls want to look up to,” as Tyra would put it. Elina and Clark kiss (it’s still not as provocative as Kim/Sarah’s C5 kiss), Hannah gets disgusted and says that the girls getting too extreme for her taste, and claims that she wouldn’t be friends with people like Sheena, Elina, and Isis (because she’s a trans-gendered, she says). Isis seems to back up or dance woards Hannah, and Hannah very rudely pushes her, which Isis is passive about. Then the girls go in, and the real drama starts.
Sheena and Brittany speak to Hannah, talking about how she just didn’t coincide with what was going on, and she said she was “The stereotypical white girl.” She says she “doesn’t really like rap music, she isn’t really loud, and she’s not going to walk in the room just like, ‘HOUSE!’” Umm…so somehow it went from her not being comfortable around being with different people to typecasting people who are lively and like rap. Naturally, Brittany very nicely says that she needs to watch how she says things, and shows quite a bit of intelligence. Same with Sheena. Hannah starts crying, and she felt like she was being attacked, although she genuinely seemed like she wasn’t trying to offend anyone.
So, after a commercial break, Brittany tells all the non-white girls what is going on, and they’re just discussing Hannah and her demeanor. Then, it shows a very candid part of the show, where Isis is injecting herself with some sort of estrogen, and she asks Analeigh (who is turning to one of my favorites) to help her out, and she happily agrees. After the heartfelt moment, the girls go to their challenge destination:
Yet again, Benny Ninja posed on top of something in a really contortionist-oriented pose. The girls are supposed to pose wildly while displaying Tarina Tarantino’s jewelry and handbag. So, challenge highlights:
Girls who did okay/well: Lauren Brie, Isis, and Analeigh. Samantha and Brittany have small clips where they are struggling. Joslyn uses her toes to model the bag, which apparently is a problem since all the other girls are doing it as well. Nikeysha announces that if she peed herself, it would have been for Tarina, because she needed to use the bathroom. Classy and professional! Not only did she turn off the judges, but she did a horrible job. She’s quite the contender in the competition, no? Well, Elina does wonderfully with her intense face, and Sheena puts the bag in front of her crotch and poses behind it, which I thought was great, but apparently Tarina did not think so. Elina wins the challenge, and it’s like she won a beauty pageant. She really is quite amazing.
So the girls get back home, and it’s TYRA MAIL! I don’t know about you guys, but I actually quite like the pictures that are displayed before the message and next to it. Well, it says: “You wanna be on top? Then you better start climbing that ladder. Love, Tyra.” Oh, these are just full with thought, aren’t they? The girls get together and talk about Hannah, Hannah gets ambushed and asked if she is prejudice/a racist, and she simply scoffs and says no. She cries about it, as Analeigh comforts her wonderfully, then Hannah interviews that she can’t believe she’s being called a racist and that it’s not very nice. She’s then out talking to McKey about it, comparing it to gang violence (this girl really IS from Alaska!), and then they’re taken to their photo shoot destination. It’s outside on what looks like a local park with a hot air balloon and a Ferris wheel, and they’re to shoot on a ladder that’ll be digitally placed in the air. Photoshoot highlights:
-Mike Ruiz is the photographer.
-Samantha says “I wonder if you fall, if you’re allowed to go back on.” No. No, you’re not. They say, “Well, you got one picture, it’s horrible, but because we can’t take a minute to wait for you go get atop again, we’re going to end the photo shoot.” Some pretty ivy-league material this cycle.
-Lauren Brie does wonderfully and sets the bar real high.
-Elina does greatly and is really intense, and compared to Angelina Jolie. Finally.
-Analeigh does fairly, but is told her facial expressions aren’t enough, as well as her poses.
-Sheena holds herself on the ladder with only her butt-crack. This girl is talented, seriously. Well, it’s only a little hoochie, but she fares well enough.
-Isis disappoints and does not push enough.
-Nikeysha tries too hard and doesn’t get great photographs in.
-Brittany looks too normal and isn’t trying hard enough.
-Joslyn does greatly, and I don’t know how she does it. I wish she were the first one out, personally.
-Clark fares well enough, but hasn’t gotten much screen time this episode. I guess less people will “hate” her.
-Hannah struggles a bit and doesn’t give it enough shape.
-McKey does wonderfully, and looks great.
-Marjorie does real well, and I saw some gorgeous photographs in the making.
Back at home, just a little Hannah talk, and the standard Tyra mail claiming they’ll meet with the judges, blah, blah, blah. You all know what it is by now.
At judging, Nikeysha is confronted of her extremely thin stature, Isis is condemned for how she looks at panel, as well as her picture, Marjorie (my love!) gets nervous and cute, but brief, and Sheena is bluntly and rudely asked if her breasts are fake (due to the picture’s image) by none other than Paulina, of course. She denies it, which will come to her benefit in a couple of sentences. Does anyone realize that Joslyn is really well-liked by Tyra? Like, there are the girls during the show that get that favoritism and enthusiasm (and they usually win)? I feel like that’s Joslyn, and it kind of pisses me off. Someone please tell me I’m not the only one who sees it. Well, at the end, Sheena comes up and tells the truth, that her breasts are fake and that she did it when she was younger, and that it was a dumb mistake. Of course, Miss Tyra-nt knows everything, and claimed to already know, had the upper hand, was a proud mama, blah, blah, blah. Also, Lauren Brie’s picture was HIGHLY praised and told it was one of the judges’ Top 5 pictures in ANTM history. That’s strong.
Call-out order:
1. Lauren Brie – good for her! She deserved it!
2. Elina – good for her as well.
3. Joslyn – Ugh, there were much better pictures.
4. Marjorie
5. McKey
6. Samantha – What? He picture was totally unflattering.
7. Sheena
8. Hannah
9. Clark
10. Brittany
11. Analeigh – Again, what?! She should’ve changed numbers with Joslyn, I believe.
12. Isis
Eliminated – Nikeysha. Is it me…or is ANTM actually making right decisions?! Here are the pictures listed from my favorite to least favorite (as if though this wasn’t long enough, right?):
1. Lauren Brie. I don’ t think I could personally go so far as to say it’s amongst the Top 5 in ANTM history, but I could absolutely see this as any ad in any magazine.
2. McKey. I don’t care if it’s “cartoon-y” because I actually happen to love how she looks in this photograph. And Poison Ivy. And Joker.

3. Sheena. I don’t care if her boobs are fake, she looks like a great Asian here.

4. Elina. Personally, I don’t like how she looks more muscular/leaning-toward-plus-size in here, but she looks wonderful. Truly wonderful.

5. Analeigh. HOW IS THIS BOTTOM THREE-WORTHY?! Oh, I know! Tyra-nt wants the girl she wants to win to not have a threat, so she’s making her look like a filler girl!

6. Marjorie. Although she was my favorite girl from the very start, this picture isn’t very great to me, facially, and that’s why it’s in the middle. From a long point, she looks amazing, though. The scarf is awesome.

7. Brittany. A little plain, but it works, and is better than the upcoming ones to me.

8. Joslyn. I absolutely cannot stand this woman, but I have to admit that this photo is nice (at least from a wide point).

9. Clark. She was unbelievably non-distinctive this episode, right? The face is very European, but the body is just bad.

10. Hannah. Very mediocre photographs so far. Where is that ethereal individual pre-show Alaskan beauty that I saw?! Please don’t tell me that was a lucky shot and/or great Photoshop.

11. Nikeysha. Not much to say, really. The face isn’t pretty, but I like the position.

12. Isis. She terribly disappointed me this episode. The face is horrid and masculine, but from a long point, she looks demanding, all thanks to the make-up.

13. Samantha. Something really bothers me about this photo. Whether it’s the fact that her hand looks horrible and like it doesn’t belong in there, the dress was unflattering, her facial expression was weak, or that she looked plus-size, it’s not selling to me. Last.

-Post by Dorian. My first one finally completed! Sorry it was a bit later than wanted/expected. Hopefully I did well, and tell me if it was too long or if you want me to change anything about my writing style. Thanks for reading!
