The Final Four! Seriously, this cycle just flew by. Only one more episode after this. I’m excited.

Sam excited over her “digital art” at home. She hopes that she’ll win. The girls note that Marj has finallly faced the bottom two and McKey has not. Marjorie is trying to calm down and be less twitchy. Good.

Tyra Mail! it is actually Tyra Post now apparently. “A model who knows how to sell makes the most sense. Love, Tyra”. Heh, clever. Analeigh and Marjorie kind of cue the challenge with a quiet discussion about hiding Marjorie’s twitchiness. She needs to be interesting, but not boring. Analeigh tells her it is just acting. Speaking of acting, the challenge! They meet with Paulina, who is in a room of curiously stocked tables of raw fish, toilet paper, and other random items. Paulina will teach them how to incorporate senses into selling things wordlessly. First they have to smell the nasty raw fish and pretend to be invigorated by the scent. Analeigh does it quickly. ” I hate fish.” Ha. McKey tells her that it smells like the beach. The girls look pretty hilarious smelling the fish. Next is the toilet paper table. They pose with it and generally look weird. They go to a table with a phone. Paulina says that McKey portrayed the senses in a modelesque way, where every movement was a pose. Marjorie’s emotions were very accessible, Analeigh was a very natural actress, but didn’t really make it modelly. Sam was just a clown, and did well with happy poses.

Tyra Mail! I mean Tyra Post! “Your delivery better be on the Mark. Love, Tyra” The girls all interview and confess about how they want to do well. They go to a building, where they meet Paulina at Amsterdam Worldwide, an ad agency, The creative director, Richard Gorodecky, explains the idea of the commercial that they are “auditioning” for. By the way, does it bother anyone else that names are never capitalized when they introduce people? Proper nouns people! Anyways, the idea for the commercial is that they are exercising and running on a sidewalk when they notice a cute guy in a taxi beside them. They have to silently flirt with gestures to the man. The taxi stops, and the guy gets out. The girls have to run up and plant a big fat kiss on the guy and then get in the taxi and drive away. All of this is done without speaking. The guy that they are kissing is supermodel Mark Vanderloo. Sam is weirded out by the idea of kissing a supermodel. The winner of the challenge gets a $10,000 shopping spree at G-Star, which is famous for its denim. Sweet.

Sam is up first. She wonders to the girls whether she’s supposed to kiss with tongue or without. Analeigh just kind of wags her head around in excitement. The girls do the “running” on a treadmill. Sam’s was nice and bubbly, but was a little bit too exaggerated and over the top. She kisses him extremely enthusiastically. They ask Mark how she did. “Very convincing”. Ha. Mark is both fairly attractive and has a sense of humor. Cool points! Sam tells the girls that she loved it. Ha.

Analeigh is up next. She does a cute double take at the beginning, and then looks really cute on the treadmill. She does very well. The judges like it. “His lips were quite soft and voluptuous and I enjoyed it rather a lot.” She tells the girls that he is an excellent kisser. Sam agrees.

McKey looks really weird on the treadmill. I just noticed how tiny that treadmill was. Her acting wasn’t as good. Hers was ok.

Marjorie looks so awkward flirting with him, its really funny. She gets off the treadmill and seriously lunges at this guy like he’s food and she’s starving. She twitches and nervously giggles afterwards. It’s actually kind of cute and endearing. Usually her twitchiness can be a bit irritating. Marjorie is happy.

Paulina says that Sam was a little bit over the top and hammy, Analeigh did very well and is a good actress, McKey looked like she was acting, and Marjorie was scary sometimes but was very original. Marjorie wins! Wow, I expected Analeigh to win. Marjorie shares her prize with Analeigh anyways. They go to G-Star and split the money evenly. Aw that’s really nice. Marjorie and Analeigh seem to be winning all of the lucrative challenges. Extremely expensive Diamond necklaces, $16,000 worth of designer clothing which I’m sure got shared between the two, and now this shopping spree. They must have one heck of a new wardrobe. Marjorie tells us that she and Analeigh are best buds. Aw, I love Marjaleigh.

Tyra Post! “Tomorrow, you’ll be going Dutch but you’ll have to give 100%.” Marjorie decides to call some boys over. She calls the boys that brought them around in boats to go-sees and asks them to come over. “I need Pinot Noir!” For being only 19 or 20, I don’t think Marjorie should be so into alcohol. The guys come over with food and a lot of alcohol. McKey notes that she, Sam. and Analeigh all do not drink. Marjorie is getting drunk. The girls start off the evening with charades. How exciting. Analeigh tells us that she and Marjorie were putting heels on one of the drunk boys and making him do runway, McKey was full out wrestling with one of the guys (headlocks and all), and Sam was doing magic tricks. Wow. Then, they started drinking. They play truth or dare, and Marjorie has to kiss a guy for 10 seconds. They keep going. Analeigh interviews that the boys and Marjorie start drinking more. Analeigh takes her eyes off of Marjorie for 2 seconds and turns around only to find that Marjorie is now in the bathtub fully clothed with one of the guys. Good lord. The guy, whose name is Bernard, tells Marjorie “C’mon, lets get married.” Whoa, this is getting really weird. Analeigh tries to help out Marj, but then the other two guys try convincing her that it’s not a big deal. Analeigh tells one of the guys that tries pulling her away that Marjorie is not making good choices and that Analeigh is trying to keep Marj from making an ass out of herself. The guy tries to tell her that it’s not her responsibility, but Analeigh assertively yet kindly tells him that it kind of is. Analeigh confesses that she’s looking out for her best friend even though it’s a competition. Analeigh is truly an angel. I wish she was my best friend. Marjorie is still in the tub with the half-naked Bernard. She quite hilariously does a campy sigh, rolls her eyes, and says “Alright alright…embrace me.” HA! I feel like this is the watered down version of Shandi’s “YOU HAD SEX?!?!” ala Cycle two. This time, Analeigh is April with the whole “Ding! Hold on Shandi, you have a boyfriend!” thing. With a little bit of prodding, Analeigh gets Sam and McKey to help kick out the boys. The situation starts getting sloppy. McKey threatens to pull the guys out by his trousers. Eventually they all stumble out of the house and the girls help Marjorie dry off.

The next morning, Marjorie admits that she knew she could depend on the girls when she got drunk because they were sober. They head off to the countryside, where they have a photoshoot with a windmill in the background. Highlights-

Analeigh does very well. She has a rake for a prop. Jay says that she tried a lot and was dynamic. At the end, Analeigh asks if she’s aloud to jump. Jay loves it.

Marjorie doesn’t get any props, which is not fair. Jay says that she looked drunk. She kind of titters and laughs. Jay is not impressed with her.

Sam is wearing a clear plastic jacket. It’s really weird. Sam also doesn’t really get any props until the end. Sam’s clogs were hurting her feet and the pain showed on her face. she does not do well. She cries to Sutan that she didn’t do well. I love Sutan. They need to have more of him on the show.

McKey gets a windmill, a chain, and a ton of other props to work with. That is not fair. She gets to hang off of the windmill, swing the chain, and hang off of walls. She does well and uses her unfair prop advantage to her benefit.

Sam and Marjorie both interview about how nervous they are. Marjorie drinks wine.

Judging. Prizes, judges. Ann Shoket of 17 Magazine is the guest judges.

McKey- McKey looks kind of like Elvis in person. Her photo gets raves.

Marjorie- Her photo has a very alienesque, haunting, editorial photo. It’s a bit creepy, and the judges think that she’s being boring this week because she’s not being twitchy. She totally called it earlier in the episode.

Sam- Her photo has the whole broken down doll look. Her film was ok and Tyra loves her down turned mouth.

Analeigh- She’s wearing suspenders, which I love. Analeigh’s photo is one her jumping photos. The judges love it a lot. Ann Shoket clearly loves Analeigh.

During panel, the judges love Analeigh. However, Miss Jay doesn’t think that she’s taken too many good pictures. This next part confuses me. Tyra has seemed to dislike Analeigh since the start, and yet she tells Miss Jay that she takes great pictures. That’s not weird, but the way she, Paulina and Nigel stand up for her looks incredibly incredibly fake, like they are acting. I think that because Ann Shoket likes her, they like her.Sam has consistently done well, but her film wasn’t good. Marjorie has a special something, but has lost her charm. Ann says that Marjorie is condescending. What?! That’s like calling Analeigh a slut. They like McKey, and Tyra notes that McKey has Joker lips. YES.

Call out order-

Analeigh

McKey

Sam

Marjorie

This was definitely one of the saddest eliminations ever. Marjaleigh was broken apart, and seeing Analeigh sob is so upsetting. It was nice that McKey and Sam gave them a little moment to mourn their separation. As they show all of Marjorie’s pictures, it’s nice to see how stunning her photos were.

So now we’re left with Analeigh, McKey, and Sam. What do you guys think about our final three? Personally, I’m pretty satisfied with this finale. It’s been a great cycle and I think the final 3 are all pretty deserving. Analeigh for the win!

  1. I’m pretty happy with this final three.

McKey is high fashion and consistently does well.

Sam is commercial and consistently does well.

Analeigh is a little of both and has improved the most.

Also, they all seem to have fairly nice personalities and actually look attractive in person.

This whole cycle has been one of the most ‘fair’ in my opinion, with the possible exception of Lauren Brie’s elimination. I don’t feel like kept any girls around because they added drama, because of the race card, because of hidden potential, or any of the other reasons that people generally disagree against.

I’m happy with any of the three of them winning, actually.

  2. Great recap, Amy!
May I be the first to say that I was horribly amused with the whole Bernard situation? I just loved it when she said, “Bernard…” like he was some friend of hers that was always committing foolish antics. “Alright, embrace me.” I LOVE Marj, and I HATED this elimination. Her photo was the second-best. Yes, she’s just standing there, but that is editorial. Not every good model has to do some sort of pose. In fact, if you look in many fashion magazines, it’s very much like that. And the face she’s doing there alone is stronger than anything McKey’s done, with the exception of her awards shot.
Sam takes nice photos, but why is she still here? She’s too Miss Piggy. Get her out.
Analeigh HAS to win. I guess I’ll be okay with McKey, but she’s just so undeserving and lackluster. Even then, she’s still high-fashion and one of the best faces of the show. It’ll most definitely be an improvement from last cycle’s winner, the REAL Miss Piggy. Ay.
I just noticed that Analeigh has her middle finger on the rake. Brilliant!

  3. Oh, and am I the only one who was annoyed by Ann Shoket? She was searching for something bad to say about Marjorie. “Condescending?” Haha, please. She doesn’t know a damn thing about fashion, just look at the magazine she runs.

  4. Ugh. HATE Ann Shoket.
I’m pretty sure the call-out order and judge deliberation was highly influenced by her. Analeigh’s photo was okay, but I kinda like McKey’s better.

I’m a huge Marj fan, but I actually like Sam’s photo better than Marjorie’s. Still, I thought it was unfair for them to eliminate the one that was listening, and keep the one that just didn’t seem to learn.

An Analeigh, McKey, Marjorie top three would have been the greatest top three ever!

I just hope Miss Piggy gets third, and Analeigh wins. Although I like McKey the most out of the remaining girls, Analeigh just deserves this a lot more, in my opinion. She improved from her call-out of 9, 11, 11 (which, to me, didn’t even deserve that low a call-out) to top 2’s and first call-outs. She’s a mix of both high fashion and commercial, and pretty versatile. I would have no problems with her winning. : D

  5. after cycle 10 and 9, i’m sooo happy with this cycle’s elimination order. of course I didn’t agree with everything, but the last 2 cycle were just so…. okay, i’m not even gonna comment on it ;D

I’m loving Analeigh’s and McKey’s photos, though I do agree with you, Amy, that Mckey hat a clear advantage with her props.
Sam’s and Marj’s photos, I don’t like them. because I don’t like the make-up on their faces. they’re both so pretty and this make-up… GAAAH. sorry. so I can’t do a proper judgement on their photos because the make-up bugs me so much xD

right now, whatever happens, whoever wins, I’m determined to be content with it :D all three of them are good models, imo. and i’m tryyyying not to let my personal likings take over… yeah, trying and failing. hope analeigh wins =D

  6. Hope this is the order. 3rd.Analeigh 2nd. Mckey and the winner SAMANTHA

  7. TEAM ANALEIGH!!!

She’s the only remaining one who deserves to win, she can pull out everthing: highfashion, commerical and catalog!!!

If it had been up for me, the elimination would have been:
    1. Analeigh
    2. Marjorie – i like her shot and she won the challange!
    3. McKey – great face, but nothing more, the emotion on the face is alawys the same in pictures!
    4. Samantha – nice, and loveable, but this shot just doesn’t work to me!!!

  8. I dont understand how you think McKeys face is always the same in her pictures. Look at the swimsuit photo and the natural shot and her windmill shot, they are all completely different emotions. I personally will be dissapointed if Analeigh wins, only because im still waiting for an extremely high fashion winner, and Analeigh is most definately not that.
    MCKEY FTW!!!!!!

  9. I love the fact that they completely ruled out the fact that Marjorie won the challenge, which shows that she portrays emotions well. Stupid Anne Shoket, she was probably a stand in for someone more important if they were a no-show, what a bad alternate: ;(

  10. McKey’s natural shot was anything but not nature. Her pose was totaly uncomfortable and fake!!! In the windmill shot there’s nothing more in/on McKey’s eye than some make-up!!! She has deffinitely the best feautres for high fashion, but she cannot work them 100% that’s why Analeigh can pull off better shot even with less fabolous features!!!

  11. see this 12th episode..all make me blew away…
i’m so sad while seeing marjorie eliminated (despite i more love sam than marjorie)…
see tears come from analeigh eyes while saw marjorie eliminated…that blew me away…their friendship so fsiry, nice and charm…go analeigh…
now..all the top three are my fave (the other is sheena, lauren brie, marjorie)…

  12. I like the finale 3. Marjories scene was very disterbing and I commend ANALEIGH soo much. I think shes the nicest person on Top model ever by a long shot!!!

Hmm I want Analeigh to win and mckey and Sam are good too! =]

    Tinna!!

  13. Analeigh does not look like a model
